Hougoumont Farm
History
Hougoumont Farm is the last authentic witness of the Battle of Waterloo. It was the scene of fierce fighting: what was initially intended as a diversion became the most violent point of the battle, with repeated French assaults throughout the day that ultimately proved unsuccessful.
