Self-Guided Visit
Discover the Domain of the Battle of Waterloo at Your Own Pace.
Would you like to organize a self-guided visit for your group of more than 20 people?
The self-guided option is the ideal way to explore the entire site at your own pace, according to your interests and schedule.
Your ticket gives access to the iconic locations of the battlefield:
- Memorial 1815, a modern 2,000 m² museum retracing the 1815 campaign through historical objects, digital installations, and a 4D film.
- The Panorama, an impressive monumental circular painting that immerses visitors in the heart of the fighting.
- The Lion’s Mound, offering an exceptional panoramic view of the entire battlefield.
- Hougoumont Farm, a strategic and highly symbolic site of the fighting on June 18, 1815.
An audioguide can be downloaded directly to your smartphone to enrich your visit. It accompanies visitors throughout the Memorial 1815, providing historical commentary, clear explanations, and fascinating anecdotes to better understand the battle and its significance.
Each member of the group can therefore move at their own pace, explore specific themes in greater depth, and fully enjoy the different areas of the site.
The self-guided visit offers great organizational flexibility:
- Independent time management
- Easy movement between the different areas of the Estate
- The possibility to adapt the visit duration according to your program
This option is particularly well suited for schools, associations, and groups wishing to combine cultural discovery with flexibility.
