School Visits

Just 20 minutes from Brussels, the Domain of the Battle of Waterloo offers schools a comprehensive educational program, suitable for all levels of education. Our objective is to make history lively, accessible, and engaging, while supporting teachers in the preparation and organization of their school trips.

Our programs are developed in collaboration with our educational team, ensuring structured, interactive content aligned with educational objectives.

Self-Guided or Guided Visit

Schools can choose between two options:

Self-Guided Visit

Students explore the different areas of the Estate at their own pace. Teachers are provided with educational tools to guide the visit and to use the content later in the classroom.

Guided Visit

Guided tours are adapted to the age of the students and can be organized at one of the following sites:

  • Memorial 1815
  • The Panorama of the Battle of Waterloo and the Lion’s Mound
  • Hougoumont Farm

Led by experienced guides, the tours provide clear explanations tailored to each age group and encourage discussion and student participation.
