Memorial 1815

dog day / 26 august

World dog day

The Memorial 1815, in collaboration with the Belgian association SHIN-ACE, which works daily to family (re)placement of abandoned dogs, offers a dog day fun, didactic and oriented on the welfare of the animal.

The plaza at the foot of the Lion’s mound will host a "village of well-being" for all dogs. It will offer free meetings with more than a dozen therapists and their specialties as well as products and objects dedicated to doggies.

The day will be punctuated with fun and inspiring activities: canine first aid, dog rally or canicross. We also invite a maximum of participants to present themselves for the photo of the largest dog show at the Lion's Mound at 2:00 pm. Finally, a signposted course for a family and touristic walk with dogs is planned non-stop from 10am to 6 pm to discover the Battlefield of Waterloo.

The dog is for many people a member of the family! And as such it has become a confidant, a social bond ... that why it’s so important to share a good day with your dog!
